I have never been dissatisfied with my Fab Fit Fun Box. However, there is a first time for everything.
The Winter Fab Fit Fun box came on Saturday and I excitedly opened it up. Although I was able to make choices for three of the items, I felt that the box was missing something and didn’t contain as many items as I typically receive.
The Winter box included:
Candlenut Body Cream by Juara ($35)
I always enjoy receiving new products that I wouldn’t typically buy. This should be helpful when my skin becomes dry during the winter.
Wine Stopper and Charm Set by FabFitFun ($15)
This is a cute wine stopper with 6 wine glass charms. Although it’s cute, I’m not sure how often I will use the charms.
Dermalogica Travel set with Cleansing Gel, Multi-action toner and Skin Smoothing Cream ($46)
I do love the Dermalogica brand and will certainly put this in my travel bag.
Diffuser by EJH Brand ($37)
This was an item that I could choose between cinnamon, pomegranate, sugar cookie or lavender. I choose lavender and plan to take it to my office. I’m hopeful the scent isn’t overpowering.
“The Donna Earbud” by Frends ($80)
Subscribers were able to choose the color of the earbuds. I chose the rose gold and black. Although I truly don’t need any more earbuds, it’s nice to have another set. This also came in a nice carrying case.
Fingerless Gloves by Whitney eve ($26)
I choose the black gloves (because black goes with everything). This is an item I am glad to have but something I would have never purchased.
Gift Card by Sweet and Spark ($40)
This is a company that curates vintage jewelry.
Gift Card from Shoptiques ($25)
This website has over 2,000 boutiques from around the world with one of a kind merchandise.
Hello Fresh 3 free meals (@ $35.00)
Hello Fresh is a website that will deliver the ingredients and recipes to 3-5 meals a week for 2 or a family.
Missing from my box:
Zoya nail polish ($9)
I’ve never had an item missing from my box. I’m saddened because I do love Zoya nail polish. The positive is that I emailed FabFitFun and within a few hours they responded that a bottle was being sent to me in the mail. I’m grateful for such wonderful
Total Retail Value $312
The value of the box continues to exceed the quarterly subscription of $49.99 However, this box doesn’t excite me. I also don’t like the fact that three of the items (gift cards) force me to spend more money. I do enjoy having the opportunity to shop at sites I typically don’t visit but it is rare when the gift card covers just one item. Perhaps if I liked more out of the box, I wouldn’t be as picky about the gift cards. (I am giving Hello Fresh a try because I have always wanted to try it).
I am not going to give up on Fab Fit Fun as I have been a subscriber for a year and a half and this is the first box which has left me lukewarm. I will only reconsider if I receive another box that I am not crazy about. If you are interested in receiving your own box, you can receive $10 off.
