The calendar may say March but it feels like April and spring in Kentucky. I’m always a little hesitant to say that maybe winter is over, but I’m hopeful it’s nothing but buds blooming and birds beginning to sing. Let’s get the weekend started with some loves of the week.
Blogging Tip of the Week
Why You Need To Post Less Often: Jackie from Jade and Oak makes excellent points on why bloggers may want to consider posting less often. I certainly agree with the fact that quality of writing improves when one isn’t posting everyday.
Recipe of the Week
Sweet Potato Crust Quiche I LOVE sweet potatoes and this recipe is going to be made at my house very soon!.
Outfits of the Week
I’m loving both of these dresses from The Loft and purchased the one on the right.
Feel Good Story of the Week
If you are someone who has adopted a cat or dog from an animal shelter, you know the questions is often “Who saved who?” The article about a man who went to an animal shelter and adopted a middle age obese dog so they would have something in common will truly touch your heart.
Thought for the Weekend
My counseling practice focuses exclusively with female clients beginning at age 16 to beyond. Over the past few weeks it’s been rather eye opening to listen to 16 and 17 year old girls worry about the same issues we continue to worry about at age 25, 30 and beyond. Does anyone remember worrying that no one will invite you to prom or that you just aren’t pretty?
My hope is to always provide them with the skills set to gain confidence and see the beauty and strength they have. If we could only be more like this graphic.
Wishing you a great weekend.
