Are you like me and find that you are naturally drawn to a blog with a positive name? I’m almost certain that is why I first clicked on Meagan’s All the Joys blog and I’ve been a fan every since that first time.
Meagan is a wife, mom to two little girls and is sharing her transition as she recently moved from her beloved Chicago to Dallas. I love that she is honest that adjusting takes time. She is sharing how to make friends in a new community along with adjusting to not having to defend that she is “just a mom” when she is asked what she does for a living. Additionally, she is a girl after my own heart and loves a good subscription box and recipe.

Favorite Color: Purple, always and forever. Luckily my littlest has decided it’s her favorite too, so shopping for her is fun!
Favorite Food: Pizza or brussel sprouts. But not together. (Hmm, maybe that wouldn’t be so bad?)
Favorite Time of day and/or Week: I do my best work in the late afternoon during the week. But my all time favorite is Saturday mornings because I have the whole weekend in front of me – and sometimes my nice husband lets me sleep in while he gets up with the kids!
Favorite Movie: I’ll always say yes to watching Love Actually, Mannequin (1 or 2), Maid to Order or Troop Beverly Hills. 80’s for the win!
Favorite Season: I used to say Summer and Winter, I like the extremes in weather. But now that I’m living in Texas, just summer. We don’t really have a true winter here!
Favorite Vacation Spot: Anywhere on a beach with people to bring me drinks!
Favorite Book: To be honest, I have never reread a book. I love to read though – mysteries, humor, biographies, I’m all over the place. Just check out my Goodreads!
Morning Person or Night owl? I definitely used to be a night owl, but with children I’m more of a morning person by default now.
Item you can’t leave home without: The obvious thing here is my phone. But I also have a weird thing about always needing to have water with me, so there’s always a water bottle in my purse.
The song that’s on replay in your life right now? Not a song, but the XM Channel 10 is my favorite – all the songs from 2000-2010!
Movie Star Crush: Paul Walker, RIP.
Which actress would play you in a movie? Oh, good one. I have no idea. Any thoughts on this?
What would you name the autobiography of your life? And Life Went On. There is always the chance to find something good in every day, even when some days feel the darkest.
