Friday Favorites for the first week of December.

Happy Friday Friends!  I am a Christmas tree junkie and spent the past weekend putting up four Christmas trees (tour in a later post). It’s so easy to get caught up in the busyness of the season but it is equally important to remember to slow down and enjoy the beauty of the decorations and lights.

Here are a few things I’ve loved this week.

Anthropologie Pear Candle

I found this beautiful Pear Candle at Anthropologie a few weekends ago for a hostess gift. As all Anthropologie candles do,, it smelled wonderful.  Currently Anthropologie has some beautiful candles and it’s a great time to stock up on hostess gifts for the upcoming holiday parties (0r buy a gift for yourself).

Music Therapy

Seriously, I’ve listened to Demi Lovato’s Confident on replay. I dare you to listen to it and not find yourself dancing.

southern belle red wine

Southern Belle Red Wine is aged in Pappy Van Winkle bourbon barrels and has become one of my favorite red wines. This is fantastic example of wine meeting bourbon and creating something fantastic!

bloodline-netflix

While I was busy putting up my Christmas tree, I binged on my Netflix viewing. Bloodline is the story of a family in the Florida Keys who must deal with secrets when the black sheep brother returns home. I was hooked knowing that Kyle Chandler was in it but am now simply hooked. I have two episodes to finish and can’t wait until season 2 in 2016. Add this to your viewing list for those upcoming cold winter weekends. (The Florida Keys scenery will keep you warm).

Pay It Forward

Jamie Lynn Knighten was at the end of her rope when her credit card was denied at her local Trader Joe’s. Matthew Jackson had to insist that she let him pay for her groceries. When she called the gym where he worked to say thank you again, she was able to speak to his manager to share what a caring person he was. Sadly, the manger had to inform that Jamie that Matthew had died the day after he purchased her groceries.

To honor Matthew and to share what he had done for her, Jamie has established the MatthewsLegacy Facebook page for others to share examples they have seen of paying it forward.  During this month, I encourage you to take some time to pay your own fortunes forward. Additionally, if you are following Emily’s 12 Months of Bliss, December’s Challenge is to pay it forward. With the news events of the past month and week, we need to be reminded that the world is full of goodness.

What you missed this week: If you haven’t read my post from Monday, I would love for you to take some time to comment. It is becoming one of my favorite posts and is certainly a topic I plan to continuing addressing.
