Sometimes you just need to take a break. I’ve taken an unplanned break from posting over the past two weeks simply due to time management.
There will be no apologies or excuses as I’m not a fan of saying I’m sorry when I am not. I am sorry if someone chooses not to return to this site because I took time off. Nonetheless, I’m grateful you have chosen to click on today’s post as I am will return to posting regularly. I thought that beginning with a Favorites post would be a great way to return to routine.
Here are some of my favorites currently and from the past few weeks.
Friendcation Time
This weekend is our annual girls trip to Tennessee. I must say after the week I’ve had that I’m in much need of simply relaxing with good friends. I highly recommend scheduling time with friends whether its a night out or a weekend away. Last year I shared tips on how to plan a friendcation and we used most of the say tips this year. I’ll be showing some of our activities on instagram! There will probably also be some enjoyment of honeycrisp apple sangria.
Old Navy Knit Swing Dress
I am loving everything about this dress at Old Navy. The weather continues to be warm here in Kentucky (sorry Fall lovers) but thanks to air conditioning I’ve been able to wear my grey and the black and white. It’s a perfect dress to be dressy or casual and I’m thinking I may need a few more. If you are thinking about purchasing, for size consideration I purchased an XS.
A Beginner’s Guide to Slowing Down: How To Pay Attention To The Season
I found Madeline’s blog one night as I went down a reading rabbit hole and I’m so thankful that I did. As much as I love summer, I do appreciate the changing of the seasons and this post encourages you to slow down and truly be mindful about what is going on in the world and in your life. As you prepare for fall, ask yourself if you truly pay attention to the season. Fall is the perfect time for reflection and I do plan on doing that over the next few months.
8 Podcasts to Listen to While Walking
I’ve become a huge fan of podcasts and will share some of my favorites soon. Until then, this is a great addition to any list.
Music of the Week
The Country Music Association is celebrating 50 years of the CMA awards and produced this fantastic video featuring over 30 country artists. Many people do not like country music but this video and the music is fantastic. I’ve already watched it several times. PS – Dolly Parton is simply everything!!
Wishing you a great first weekend of Fall!
