Friday Favorites

It’s hard to believe but it is Friday again. I continue to be amazed at how quickly time speeds by and it is simply a reminder that there are times when we must force ourselves to slow down and appreciate each day. To be honest, there are days when I have to remind myself to slow down before I jump to the next task on my list. This week I want to share some of my favorite therapies of the week.

Retail Therapy

White House Black Market Sweater and blouse

I had not been shopping at my favorite store White House Black Market in months. With a gift card from my birthday in July, I told James I needed to do some shopping last Saturday and off I went. I’ve always loved emerald green and fell in love with this sweater and tunic. A bonus was they were both on sale!

Aromatherapy

Bath and Body sleep aromatherapy

The sales associate  at Bath and Body Works stated that the Black Chamomile sleep/detox aromatherapy had been brought back but I don’t remember ever seeing it before. It is available for a limited time and I encourage you to purchase in bulk. The bubble bath smelled just as wonderful as any high end spa.

Music/Talk Therapy

Radio Andy - Andy Cohen

I love my satellite radio and can’t believe it took me so long to find Radio Andy (Channel 102). After a day of seeing clients in my practice or patients at the hospital, it is a fantastic dose of brain candy with discussions of pop culture from Andy Cohen, Lance Bass and more!

Bibliotherapy

There were several wonderful posts and articles this week including the following:

Social Media Scheduling My Friend Anne from Love the Here and Now continues to provide the best blogging techniques in the Blogging Basics Series she is doing each week with Lindsay. This week she discussed the variety of tools that can be used for scheduling social media. Make sure you are following this series!

What Every Woman Should Know About Her Fertility:  As women we learn so much about how NOT to get pregnant that we are never taught how to get pregnant. This MondBodyGreen article is something that I encourage every woman in her 20s and 30s to read. As many know, becoming pregnant is not something that can always easily happen. My hope is that by becoming educated, women and couples facing infertility will feel empowered.

Food Therapy

Roasted Pumpkin Seeds   Pumpkins are everywhere and I really can’t wait to try this  recipe.
